80 Off Discount Cyber week Best buy

When the Sony PlayStation 3 was released around 2006, I realized it was one of the priciest items on the market. I couldn’t buy one back then since I didn’t have any cash to pay for it. Now, in 2009, I purchased the 80 GB version of the console for $400. Since buying and then using the console for a few weeks, I noticed a lot of Pros and Cons. Keep on reading to check out my review.

Design of the Console

I like the shiny finish on the PS3, but It was really big. I spent a few hours trying to find a good area to place the console, until I finally gave up and placed it on the floor. Other than the size, I liked the placement of the disk drive and the open and close buttons. It was a little different, but it was neat. So as a result, I love the design and I love Sony’s approach at making the console a unique experience.

Graphics

When I bought the console, I purchased a few games for it as well. When I popped in a game, a smooth interface came up. This interface is similar to that of Sony’s PSP Console. So when I started playing the game, the graphics were definitely Impressive. I noticed a lot of details that the PS2 Console could never capture, and the overall movement of characters were faster, smoother, and less block-like. The Graphics amazed me, and I totally agree with anyone that thinks the PS3 is the only console with the best graphics to date.

Gameplay

Now to the actual gameplay. When I was playing some games, I noticed a slight delay in response time between the controller and on the screen. This got me furious as every single game did this. There were also moments where the game would freeze for up to 3 seconds. Sony’s controller for the PS3 also has a motion-sensing capability, so in racing games, you could move the controller the direction you wanted the wheel to go. So I loved the games and graphics, but the gameplay just wasn’t workin for me.

Blu-Ray

I like the PS3 because it can play Blu-Ray movies, and other consoles can’t. The quality in the movies are amazing. In some movies, you could see details in their hair and their skin. I have never seen a DVD with quality like this. The PS3 System totally dominates the home theater aspect of consoles.

Online Play

I liked the Online Service of the PS3. I liked that it was free and didn’t cost a thing, but there were some major issues. When talking, my mic would cut at random parts, and I would have to replug it back in. Also, requesting friends was a little difficult as well. So the online service is ok, but it isn’t the best. I recommend Xbox Live with the Xbox 360.

Wrap-up

So on a scale from 1 – 10, I’ll give the PS3 a 6.5. I wish the games wouldn’t freeze, and I wish the entire experience of the console was as good as it’s graphics. I hope Sony notices their mistakes and makes the PS4 Console incredible. Also, this console wasn’t worth the $400. If it was at least $250, I wouldn’t mind the mistakes it had.

Until recently, the only place to see buckles, belts, and hats was the “country & western” dance hall, and the only ladies in western wear were the rodeo queens and buckle bunnies. These days, however, western women’s fashion is popping up on every scene, and it’s no longer limited to the die-hard cowgirls.

In the 1990′s, women’s western fashion didn’t look much different for the gals than it did for the guys: slim-fitting, boot-cut jeans by Wrangler or Rocky Mountain (“Rockies”), “roper” boots by Justin in an array of colors, and patterned button-up tops (sometimes with a cutout in the chest or back for a feminine flair). Western accessories were simple, moving away from the rhinestones and sequins of 1980′s women’s western wear. Over the past couple of years, women’s western wear has seen both a revival and a revamping.

The article of cowgirl fashion perhaps most commonly seen outside the rodeo or honky-tonk these days is the cowboy hat. The traditional cowgirl hat has been overhauled, though. Modern cowgirl looks might include animal print felt hats, pucca shell hat bands, or tiaras attached to the brim of a brightly colored straw hat. Most of these trendy cowboy hats have a curled brim for that worn look, and some even have bendable wire in the brim so that the wearer can customize the shape of her hat. Although true rodeo/stock show cowgirls hold just a little contempt toward this somewhat inauthentic new millinery trend, it’s still a hot look even outside the western states. Also in accessories, large belt buckles or colored leather belts with silver embellishments are everywhere. Chunky turquoise and wood-like textures are popular jewelry accents to the latest looks in women’s western wear.

Cowboy boots are being worn all over the place, too. In fact, the demand for traditional-look leather western boots with a pointed toe and western embellishments was so high in the fall of 2005 that many retailers found themselves sold out of this style. Cowboy boots are being worn with skirts of all lengths and fabrics, jeans, and even cropped pants.

The “pearl snap” shirt, popularized in the 1980′s by movies like Urban Cowboy, has also made a comeback. Vintage shirts in this style – slim fit with snap button closure, often with floral prints or bold piping – are selling like hot cakes all over ebay, and western wear retailers like Shepler’s are now offering the same look in repro-vintage attire. The pearl snap is one piece of women’s western wear that everyone from rockabilly to emo is wearing now.

The recent wide appeal of women’s western wear has made it visible in new places. No longer can we only see the cowgirl look at the rodeo or the saloon. These days, belts, buckles, and hats are everywhere from trendy nightclubs to rock concerts. Perhaps that’s why more upscale retailers, such as Blomingdale’s, who typically cater to the New York-Milan-Paris crowd now offer women’s collections stocked with the hottest trends in western wear.

With these new looks and trends in women’s western wear, any lady is sure to find the perfect blend of western flair and fashion savvy.

Pear shaped women have smaller waists and larger hips. It is hard to find jeans for pear-shaped women – I am one! The infamous gap in the waist of your jeans can be embarrassing. This gap exists on pear shaped women because they must buy larger sized jeans to fit their hips. I have five great jeans for pear shaped women that are affordable.

Jeans for Pear-Shaped Women #1:

Lee Modern Fit No Gap Double Button Jeans are the perfect jeans for pear shaped women. These have a stretchy waistband that contours to your waist. The gap, if any, is very minimal. I wear these jeans, as I am a pear shaped woman. When I sit down, you can’t see my underwear (very important in the workplace!). These are hands-down my favorite jeans for pear shaped women. Best of all, these pear shaped women’s jeans are affordable at under $50 a pair. I snatched mine up at JC Penney’s on sale for $29.99.

You can purchase these pear shaped women’s jeans at JC Penney’s by clicking HERE. Before purchasing these pear shaped women’s jeans, read my article on retail discounts by clicking HERE.

Jeans for Pear Shaped Women #2

Worthington Modern Fit Angle Pocket pants are the perfect jeans for pear shaped women. Although you will find these pants in the career department at JC Penney’s, they come in a dark denim print that is perfect for casual Fridays at work.

If you like these jeans for pear shaped women, you can order them online HERE. Select “indigo” as the color. You won’t be disappointed – these are very comfortable. These are my favorite pear shaped women’s jeans to wear to the office on casual Fridays.

Jeans for Pear Shaped Women #3

All-American Levis Curvy Boot Jeans are my third pear shaped women’s jeans suggestion. Levis are definitely the American jean of choice, so it’s great that they make jeans for pear shaped women.

The description of these jeans for pear shaped women on Amazon is “these jeans are for women with a full seat and a small waist”. You know these jeans will fit you right! Click HERE to purchase these jeans for pear shaped women at Amazon.com.

Jeans for Pear Shaped Women #4

Right after I graduated high school and before I started college, I worked at The Gap. I have since been addicted to Gap jeans. The perfect Gap jeans for pear shaped women are the Gap Curvy Boot Cut Jeans. The great thing about Gap jeans is that they are so comfortable, and you can usually find them on sale. Visit your local Gap store or click HERE to purchase these amazing jeans for pear shaped women.

Jeans for Pear Shaped Women #5

How could I forget my full figured friends? If you are full figured and need jeans for pear shaped women, look no further than the Lane Bryant Right Fit Boot Cut Jean. Click HERE to purchase these jeans for pear shaped women. These jeans are made with a fabulous stretch to them so they are very comfortable. They have a slight flare at the end, typical of boot cut jeans, which further slims a heavier lower half. If you want to thin your lower half even more, another great pair of jeans for pear shaped women made by Lane Bryant is the Right Fit Stretch Flare Jean. Click HERE to purchase.

No matter if you are full figured or just have a little more junk in your trunk, there are perfect jeans out there for you. Hopefully one pair of these jeans for pear shaped women will become your next favorite pair of jeans.

Women’s handbags, especially those made of leather, can leave a deep hole in a pocketbook you haven’t even purchased yet. Outlet locations can offer great discounts on women’s handbags, as long as you know where to shop for them. There are a few women’s handbag retailers that offer great discounts for high quality products at the outlet or factory store locations.

1) Kate Spade

Kate Spade outlets often send coupons and promotions via e-mail, so if you’re really a Kate Spade girl, it’s best to get on their e-mail list next time you stop into a Kate Spade outlet location. They often offer large discounts on normal products, on new arrivals, and their sale section is huge. If you’re looking at a color that could be considered seasonal like pink (the Kate Spade green is not seasonal, ever.), wait until the color is not in season and then go in and check their sale section. I was able to nab a pretty big pink leather Kate Spade at a deep discount (way over 50%) over Christmas because they said the color was not in season.

2) Coach

On many weekends, you’ll find the Coach Factory Stores offering extra 15% off coupons at the door, and even if it isn’t the weekend, you can shop their sale section, which promises even bigger discounts. Their normal merchandise is usually discounted about 20-30% for great Coach products. Even if the product is somehow flawed, you’ll never be able to notice it, and the Coach Factory Store products last just as long as the normal retail store products. Any discount is worth it when the handbags retail for over $100.

3) Fossil

You may not consider Fossil a place you’d shop for a handbag, but besides watches, Fossil outlets also offer deep discounts on sunglasses, handbags, and other kinds of bags. While these won’t be leather bags like Coach, Kate Spade, or Dooney & Bourke, they are still fun tote around bags for everyday occasions.

4) Dooney & Bourke

Dooney & Bourke outlet locations are similar to Coach Factory Stores in their sales and offerings. While there are fewer Dooney & Bourke locations, their sale sections offer deep discounts on quality products. The best part of Dooney & Bourke outlet locations is that you can often find bags that are on sale in the current line but may have tiny flaws that cause them to have been shipped to the outlet. You’ll never notice the flaw, and you’ll enjoy the discount!

5) LeSportsac

LeSportsac Factory Stores are far and few between so if you’re lucky to run into one, take advantage of it. LeSportsac offers handbags, luggage, and other bags with creative, fashionable designs for people with all kinds of personality. In the factory stores, you’ll often find pretty good discounts for high quality bags, and you’ll always be able to find a fun, chic design that you’ll love forever.

This article is geared towards those gentlemen who have accompanied their significant other to outlet malls. Most of us have experienced this at one time or another, standing around awkwardly, sometimes representing the entire male demographic in a store at any one time. We don’t have much to do or look at, nor do we often know what we are supposed to be doing or looking at. I know I have gone through stores like Jones New York and Nine West and seen the hopeless looking faces on a desperately bored man. I have been that man myself.

Never fear, my fellow men, there are ways to survive such an outing. The problem is not that we as men have absolutely no interest in women’s clothing or shoes. As we all know, clothing has super powers of accentuating women’s bodies in a very positive and beautiful way. Who hasn’t had their engine revved seeing his wife or girlfriend in a sizzling new set of lingerie or positively hot dress? So the problem isn’t that we aren’t interested in women’s clothing, the problem is that we are totally uninterested in the means of procuring it.

The means of getting women’s clothing involves going to places that offer plenty of choices. Thus, outlet malls are the perfect place for women to satiate their inner desires for hot dresses, cute shoes, and accessories. Unfortunately for men, these kinds of places cater overwhelmingly to the female population. Sure, we can find plenty of stuff that we need like sneakers, shorts, a good pair of jeans, or business wear. Unfortunately, men tend to shop for what they NEED at outlets, whereas women primarily shop for what catches their eye. This is where we run into problems.

Men at outlets finish their shopping very quickly, and as a result have essentially completed their mission, if they had one in the first place. This is ok, because even if you’ve bought what you want or need, you can still wander around the men’s section of a clothing store and at least be greeted with familiar images. The real issue is when your lady wants to go into certain stores that have no men’s clothing or shoes whatsoever. These kinds of stores comprise at least a third of the stores in any given outlet mall. And unfortunately, your lady is going to want to go into the majority of them. So what are men to do?

The biggest mistake any man can make is to give the IMPRESSION that he’s bored in a women’s only store. Your wife or girlfriend will know that you’re bored to begin with, that’s not an area of contention. However, making it very evident that you’re frustrated and bored is not the way to go. Do not stand in one place, look at the floor or ceiling, or wait by the door. Also, do not tell her that you’re going to wait for her outside. This has the effect of giving the impression that you want her to hurry up, and that her needs are less important than yours. Plus, you’re essentially saying that you’d rather sit on a bench next to an elderly woman than be with her on a Saturday. Big mistake.

The main thing to remember is not to try and fake interest or knowledge in things you’re oblivious about, but to take a semi-active role in what your lady is setting out to accomplish. Walk with her through the store, but don’t crowd her so much that it makes walking awkward. If you can (this works especially well in shoe stores), keep pace with her on the other side of the display. That way when she finds something she likes, she’ll be able to point it out to you, and you won’t be so close that she’ll trip over you. Just remember to stay moving and take in your surroundings, and pay attention to your wife or girlfriend when she speaks to you. I think you can all agree that that rule can be applied anywhere, not just at an outlet mall.

Now we get to the most important part of the outlet shopping experience in a store catering entirely to women. When your lady picks something off the racks and shows it to you, you need to give a response. Sometimes she will ask questions that are more difficult than others. The most common is when she asks “what do you think of this?” without offering an initial opinion herself. Here is when you’re just going to have to bite the bullet and give a response based on your best judgment. Men often don’t have an intricate knowledge of what styles women like, but most will be able to pick out something that is completely hideous. When in doubt, don’t resort to extremes like “that’s ugly.” Take the middle ground and say that you think it’s nice but aren’t sure if it’s something she would like. Just don’t say “I don’t know,” or “I don’t care.” This is a one-way ticket to a very difficult rest-of-the-afternoon.

If she says something along the lines of “this is nice, what do you think?” then you’re in much better shape. Don’t simply say “it’s nice.” You need to incorporate your lady into your response to show that you care about the way she looks and also value her opinion. So if you say “I think you’d look really nice in that,” or “that reminds me a lot of that sexy dress you wore last week,” you’re golden.

Remember in general that you’re there not just for you, but also for your wife or girlfriend. It’s a partnership, so you’re going to have to share in that partnership even if you don’t like certain elements. If you can’t deal with this, then you’re going to have many more difficulties in relationships aside from making it through a day at the outlets. As long as you stay active, but not too active during the venture, then you will come away much better. You will come off as someone sensitive to interests of your lady and both of you will leave the shopping outlets that day in higher spirits than if you come off as a sulking child while she is looking for things just for her. Remember, if we expect women to listen to us go on about action movies, sports, and video games, then we’re going to have to give as much in return. Good luck!

If you’re the owner of a pool, whether it’s an in-ground or above-ground, you’ve likely developed quite a tab for chlorine, ph balancing, shock treatment, and other additives, not to mention the expense of the pool itself, filling it, and maintaining. Although some pool accessories simply must be purchased, like a pool vac, others can be made easily by you.

One thing you definitely have to have is a net for cleaning leaves and things which float on the water. An old broom stick or pole of any sort works well to begin making the net but a lightweight plastic pole will prove the best choice. You’ll need a circular ring-type object to give the net something to attach to, and you’ll find what you’re looking for at a craft store. They have metallic rings for making things like dream catchers, or plastic rings for making wall art. The plastic ones are lightweight and perfect. Be sure and choose a large one.

Purchase netting at a fabric store or look at dollar-theme stores for hampers and other things made from the netting. The net items are much cheaper than purchasing netting by the yard. After removing the net from the item you’ve purchased, or after having cut a piece of netting to fit the ring, spread contact cement onto the ring and attach the net all the way around. Gather the ends of the netting and tie or sew them together. Trim closely. This seamed part becomes the inside of the net. Now you can skim the water to remove leaves and such. Make a smaller version, with a smaller pole, for smaller pools or quick leaf removal next to the edge.

Make a side-scrubber in a similar manner. To remove traces of algae and dirt on the sides of the pool, make these scrubbers in two different sizes. The first should be made to go on a pole so that the cleaning can be done without entering the pool. Purchase a plastic pole at a hardware store or buy a cheap mop and remove the mop head.

We’ve all seen those plastic rugs or mats, meant for wiping mud from your feet before entering a home. The plastic mats have small loops or soft spikes and are used outdoors. These are perfect for cleaning the pool sides. Fold the rug in half, use contact cement to affix it to the pole, then use the pole to gently scrub the sides of the pool. Make a smaller version to use when you’re in the pool by drawing around your hand, and cutting two mitten shapes. Stitch the mitten shapes together and you have a handy cleaning glove while you’re in the pool.

A child’s plastic toy box with lid makes an ideal place to store some of your pool equipment. Attach a hasp and lock to prevent children from getting the chemicals. For tall equipment, such as a pole net, a garbage can works great. Stand other outdoor implements in it, too, like a garden rake or hoe. Weight it down with a couple of rocks or bricks and set it near the pool.

It’s especially easy to make accessories that fit an above-ground pool. S rings are the ticket to making all sorts of accommodating supplies. Place several of the hooks along the top ridge of the pool for hanging towels and cover-ups. Purchase a plastic bin, with slits in it, and hang it on two S hooks for holding goggles, watches, wallets and more. If you use square or rectangular ones, they’re great for holding drinks as well.

A drawstring net bag is great for holding pool toys when the pool is being cleaned or chemicals added. Hang the drawstring on an S hook and place the balls, ride-ons, and other toys in the bag. The netting will allow the water to drain from them and will keep them up off the ground.

Buy a small sieve to hold chlorine tablets which can float on the water. Line the upper edge with velcro and attach a small bowl with no holes. The sieve will allow the chlorine tablet to be dispensed into the water while the bowl on top will not only prevent the entire arrangement from sinking, it will also keep small children from reaching in and touching the chlorine.

Save hundreds of dollars, literally, by making your own pool accessories and equipment. And, the next time you realize you need any type of pool implements, stop and think if you can make it yourself, before running out to purchase it. You’ll likely be able to make something similar for a fraction of the cost.

The Zeemote Bluetooth Game Controller compacts things into one comfortable, ergonomically sound gaming package. You use one hand and the controller has an analog stick with four action buttons on it. It’s a bit reminiscent of a Nintendo Wiimote – makes you wonder where the name was inspired from. There are many games in the Android Market already compatible with the Zeemote, including the popular title R-Type, and you may even be able to use it with some of your emulators. It goes perfectly with many Android devices, from 3.2 inch phones to 10.1 inch tablets. And if you want the ultimate gaming experience, Zeemote + Phone/Tablet + TV + HDMI-out = awesome.

Isotoner’s SmarTouch gloves, designed in my colors and sizes for both men and women, has technology that passes the electrons your body gives off, through the gloves, onto the capacitive screen and allowing it to work. VOILA! Seriously. It works. Trust me. Try it… and you’ll love them forever.

The Treecycle collection is a Harvey’s Seatbelt Bags staple. The collection has been around for years and is getting recognition for its creative way of using reclaimed seatbelts to form bags, laptop cases, wallets and coin purses. They have been featured in many magazines, and several news segments as well. These bags are definitely something to keep your eyes open for as we make our fashion and lifestyles a little greener.

The collection features several colors of seatbelts woven together to form a unique mesh of colors that would match any car interior, or outfit. The webbing they use in this collection is reclaimed webbing from the auto industry that can not be used in the manufacturing of cars. It may be leftovers from a model no longer being made, or the color may not have met the expectations of the manufacturer. The webbing looks great, just not up to par for the car designers. The mix of colors varies bag to bag. The same colors are used, however the way they are put together changes the feel of each bag. The lining of the bags are hemp and feature a Treecycle logo consisting of three seatbelts resembling the recycle symbol. They have even gone as far as to use water based inks to make this a truly green bag. The bags are made right here in the USA as well so the cost to manufacture and ship the bags is reduced.

Here are some of the shapes and sizes offered in the Treecycle collection from Harveys:
